sunday night's home game vs landstreicher brought a 4:4 tie. allthough the lads from the 3rd district were in good shape and even managed to controll the game over the first two periods (the score after 2 periods was 1:4), the gentlemen did not sit back and give up. our boys fought hard and came back to finish the game with a respectable 4:4. scorers of the night: flo "left shoulder #14" schachinger (3x) and christian "lilly" zahradnicek.

on monday evening the gentlemen played against the scorpions. and the scorpions showed from the beginning their stings. the weird started badly in the game and the scorpions showed real good and fast hockey. so the scorpions were up 1:0 after the first period. during the second period the gentlemen piled the pressure on the scorpions with the result of the first goal for the weird in this game. and from this time on the weird began to play also fast and physical hockey. the weird spirit was back and they skated "till they were blue in the face". with success because after a brake the weird led 3:1. from now on the gents were able to carry home the victory safely. especially highlighted should be that the 3rd line made a fantastic game with 2 real nice goals from #16 martin perwein (congrats!).

#48 tiki-taki flo, #8 peter ambrozy and #22 ronnie prietl made it to a 5:2 for the gents. mvp because of his exemplary manner on ice #73 christian "lilly" zahradnicek.

on saturday evening the weird grabbed another 2 important points for the playoffs. they played a tough wizards team and so they had to work hard for the win. the first period ended by a concise 1:0 scored by #48 tiki-taki flo. not before the end of the 2nd period the weird could score two times by #84 andi emberger. these goals were really important for the weird and brought the relief. altough the weird were the better team this night, they missed a lot of opportunities to score (and the wizards goalkeeper had some nice saves). in the last period #48 tiki-tacki flo scored again. due to some real big saves from #1 fischi and the fact that the whole team was playing for "his" shutout, it was a nice win for the gentlemen and we had lot of fun playing ice-hockey! the "famous" weird spirit was felt again...
